Investing in our youth

Earlier this month, Core Print Solutions had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Math and Science Academy's high school robotics team for an on-site tour of our facility. The visit was coordinated by Lavanya from TR Technology, the team's coach, who helped connect these young innovators with our manufacturing and operations teams.

This visit was part of our ongoing commitment to investing in STEM education and engaging with the next generation of problem-solvers. We know that experiences outside the classroom can make a powerful impact, especially for students who are beginning to think about college, careers, and how their interests in math, science, and technology can translate into real-world opportunities.

During the tour, the students were able to step directly into our production environment and see how ideas become physical products. They observed our manufacturing capabilities up close, including how we manage complex workflows, ensure quality at each stage, and coordinate teams across different functions. The group learned how disciplines such as mechanical engineering, automation, data analysis, and project management come together on our production floor.

Production Director Brandon Nowak, Senior Automation and Mechanical Engineer Matt Davies, and Area Supervisor Brian Broszko led the tour and shared their expertise with the students. They walked the group through several production highlights, explained how our equipment and processes work, and showed how automation and continuous improvement help us meet customer needs efficiently and reliably. Along the way, they also shared their own career paths, offering insight into the different roles and opportunities that exist in modern manufacturing.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the visit was the level of curiosity and engagement from the robotics team. The students asked thoughtful questions about how we approach problem-solving, what skills are most valuable in technical roles, how new technologies are evaluated and integrated, and how safety and quality are maintained at scale. Their questions sparked meaningful conversations about innovation, collaboration, and what it takes to succeed in a fast-paced production environment.

For Core Print Solutions, events like this are about more than just a tour. They are a way for us to:

  • Support STEM education by giving students a tangible connection between classroom learning and real-world applications.
  • Demonstrate the wide range of career paths available in manufacturing, engineering, and operations.
  • Build relationships with local schools, educators, and community partners who share our commitment to preparing students for the future.

Community engagement is an important part of who we are as a company. We believe that when businesses open their doors to students and educators, everyone benefits: students gain exposure and inspiration, teachers gain practical examples to bring back to the classroom, and organizations like ours gain the opportunity to connect with the next generation of talent.

We are grateful to the Math and Science Academy and to Lavanya from TR Technology for partnering with us on this visit, and to Brandon, Matt, and Brian for taking the time to lead the tour and mentor the students throughout their experience.

If you are an educator, coach, or community leader and would like to arrange a tour of Core Print Solutions for your group, we invite you to reach out. Whether it's a robotics team, a STEM class, or another student organization, we are always excited to share our work, answer questions, and help spark interest in careers in manufacturing and technology.

Core Print Solutions is proud to play a role in supporting the next generation of learners - and we look forward to welcoming many more student groups into our facility in the future.
